<p>The automatic nail driving appliance uses a rotatable cylinder to feed successive explosive charges into the path of a hammer at a firing station. The cylinder uses equidistant orifices to locate explosive charges, with an orifice provided for each of the alternative angular positions the cylinder can occupy. Contiguous orifices provide for simultaneous firing, replacement of the charge, and ejection of the used cartridge, with a further orifice permitting the exact orientation of the cylinder through the bias of a sprung ball detent.</p> |
