PURPOSE:To obtain a stock sheet for shadow masks for wet annealing which permits easy production of shadow masks of high accuracy by applying specific nondecarburization-annealing in treating a hot-rolled steel strip of specific component composition to a steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:The hot rolled steel strip of continuously cast low-carbon aluminum-killed steel consisting of 0.001-0.12% C by weight, 0.20-0.50% Mn, 0.02- 0.11% SolAl, 0.001-0.03% S and the balance Fe and unavoidable impurities is prepd. After this is pickled, it is subjected to primary cold rolling. The primary draft is set at about >=70%. This is wound to a tight coil and the coil is subjected to nondecarburization-annealing in the temp. range where the soaking temp. is above the recrystallization temp. and below 800 deg.C in a batch annealing furnace of continuous annealing line. After the annealing, it is subjected to secondary cold rolling to a predetermined sheet gage. The sheet gage is set around 0.10-0.18mm. and the draft at about 25-40%. Thence, it is slit to a predetermined coil width, whereby the stock sheet for shadow masks is obtained. |
