This invention relates to a procedure and an arrangement forproduction of a chalk wash suitable for the production of chalk via the introduction of flue gas in a limestone wash. The procedure involves introducing a chalk wash as a continual stream through at least two consecutive remixing zones (8,9), whereby in the nearest preceding zone (8), a substantial volume of wash is maintained which is preferably ca 2-5 times larger than the subsequent zone (9). A temperature of ca 30-50 degrees C is preferably maintained during the procedure and the set-up. The set-up, according to the invention, involves a reactor apparatus and thereby a connecting unit for the continual supply (1) of limestone wash and the removal (3) of chalk wash from the reactor apparatus. The apparatus is equipped with a device for the supply (4, 12, 13) of flue gas to the lower section for dispersal (14, 15) in the wash as well as for its removal (10, 11) from the upper section. The reactor apparatus consists of two, (in relation to the wash stream (1, 2, 3) serially connected, but in relation to the flue gas stream connected in parallel) reactors (8, 9) equipped with mixers (6, 7). In relation to its volume, the preceding reactor (8) is ca 2-5 times larger than the subsequent reactor (9).<IMAGE> |
