The circuit has a heat exchanger (3) for performing heat transfer between a coolant circulating in the circuit and air flowing through the exchanger. A feed line (5) extends from an internal-combustion engine (2) to the exchanger, and a coolant pump (8) is arranged in a feed line. A return line (9) guides from the exchanger to the engine, and a bypass line (12) connects the feed line with the return line. A thermostatic valve (14) connects the feed line with a bypass line depending on temperature of the coolant. A latent-heat storage system (13) is connected to the bypass line.
