PURPOSE:To stop a wiper at a predetermined position regardless of the magnitude of a power source voltage by redriving a DC motor after once stopping at the first preliminary position before the predetermined stopping position and interrupting the power source of the motor again at the second preliminary position immediately before the predetermined stopping position. CONSTITUTION:When a wiper reaches the first preliminary position, the contact LS of a stopping limiter is once opened to interrupt the energization of a driving relay winding RY to thus open a contact rya, which deenergizes a DC motor M and to close a contact ryb, which regeneratively brakes the motor M via a resistor R. A current flows through a control relay winding RY2 by the voltage at the resistor R to open a contact ry2b, which closes the contact LS before the motor M stops. When the M stops, the voltage across the resistor R is eliminated to interrupt the winding RY2, which closes the contact ry2b and closes the winding RY. Accordingly, the contact rya is closed to restart the M. The contact LS remains opened at the second preliminary position immediately before the predetermined stopping position, the M is regeneratively braked in the same manner as the first preliminary position to abruptly stop and maintain the stoppage. |
