PURPOSE:To enable to prevent the turbulence of AC voltage and current at transient time by reducing the set voltage of a constant-voltage control system during desired time when a part of power inverters connected in series is connected in a bypass pair and then automatically restarted. CONSTITUTION:When a part of power inverters malfunctions due to some reason to fail to commutate in an AC/DC converter in which power rectifiers and inverters are connected in plurality in series with each other, a bypass pair operation is conducted to restart them after a predetermined time. In the restart, the set voltage Vdp of a constant-voltage control system is temporarily varied with time constant, for example, through resistors 20-22, capacitor 23, an operational amplifier 18 and an FET19 between Vdp'=1/2Vdp when the FET19 is ON and Vdp'=Vdp when the FET19 is OFF. |
