PURPOSE:The titled waving agent, containing l-cysteine or a water-soluble salt thereof as a main agent and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or a water-soluble salt thereof, and having improved touch of hair without flaking on the hair or scalp. CONSTITUTION:A cold permanent waving agent, containing L-cysteine or a water- soluble salt thereof as a main agent and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (abbreviated as EDTA) or a water-soluble salt thereof in an amount of 0.05-0.5mol/l, preferably 0.1-0.3mol/l, and capable of eliminating the unsmoothness of hair and improving the combing thereof. In preparing the waving agnet, an alkaline agent, e.g. KOH or NaOH, is preferably added to adjust the pH to 7-10. |
