PURPOSE:To uniformly apply the rolling mill oil to the roll surface for the purpose of preventing generation of anomalous sheet profile, by installing plural units of nozzles reciprocating prallelly to the axis of the rolling roll in order to spray the rolling mill oil alone or a mixture of rolling mill oil with water or steam upon the surface of the rolling roll at hot rolling the steel sheet, etc. CONSTITUTION:A header 2, provided with many spray nozzles 3a-3g for spraying the rolling mill oil, is arranged prallelly to the axis 1a of the rolling roll 1; during the steel sheet is rolled, the rolling mill oil alone or a mixture of rolling mill oil with water or steam is sprayed from these nozzles 3a-3g. Hereupon, the header 2 is reciprocated parallelly to the axis 1a of the rolling roll 1; hereby, even if the supply rate of rolling mill oil deviates at a part of nozzle group from other parts, the rolling mill oil is uniformly applied to the surface of the rolling roll 1. Accordingly, a local abrasion of the rolling roll 1 and the generation of anomalous sheet profile causing an irregularity in the thickness of the rolled sheet, both depending on the irregularly adhering rolling mill oil, do not occur. |
