<p>A horticultural tray, for use in greenhouses, comprises a trough for holding a bed of soil or compost beneath which at intervals along the trough, water (opt contg additional nutrients), passes from a feed pipe along one edge of the base of the trough to a drain conduit along the opposite edge of the trough. Pref the trough is moulded from an insulating matl. specifically (expanded)epoxy, phenolic, polyester or polyurethane resin or a filled silicate and the integrated flow channels are based on polycarbonate or polyolefin tubes. Shallow passages for linking the base of the trough to the flow of the border input and outlet tubes comprise shallow transversely ribbed profiles pref made from the same selection of moulding/ extrusion matls.</p> |
