PURPOSE:To obtain a belt which does not come off from a grooved roll even when a water-containing material is supplied unevenly in the direction of width, by installing numerous exhaust ports at the space of a sheet-shaped base fitted with projected parts which are formed in parallel along the direction of length to be hooped to the grooves of grooved roll. CONSTITUTION:Pressure belt 10 is manufactured in such way that pressure surface (a) of sheet-shaped base is made of flexible material, such as rubber reinforced by cloth, etc., and, on the other side of belt, thin guide projected parts 12... are glued with an adhesives to the belt in parallel to each other in the running direction of belt at a constant interval. Moreover, numeral exhaust port 13... of elongated shape are installed in a zigzag arrangement through base 11 at the space between projected part 12.... Projected parts 12... are fitted to the grooves of grooved roll 7 and water bearing material (m), such as sludge, etc., is put between two pieces of filter cloth 5 and 6 which are run by means of the friction between the cloth and the outer peripehral surface of receiving drum 1, and dehydrated with a pressure by belt 10.
