The veterinary mask enables anaesthetic to be administered to an animal. It is nozzle shaped, to enable it to be fitted to noses or nozzles of differently sized animals. It includes a transparent section (2) in the form of a truncated cone, with a ring (3) mounted on the smaller end, suitable for attaching a supply tube. A resilient membrane (4) is fitted over the larger end. This has a flange (8) around its periphery which slopes inwards to give a good fit against the transparent section. The membrane has a central opening (5) which also has a small flange (6) around it, from which extend three equally spaced radial slots (7) for resilience to match different sizes of muzzles.
