A friction variable-speed drive in which roller is made cut at two sides with opposite conical depressions and installed to spherical axis, and mechanism of displacement is arranged as rod connected to spherical axis and with additionally installed toothed gearing one of wheels of which is connected to the shaft of drive unit, and the other one is fit in free way to rod with stroke restricted along axis and equipped with additional rigidly connected by flange with symmetrically installed in circle to spherical openings at least two telescopic rods arranged as two semi-rods one ends of which are hinged to spherical roller and flange and the other ends of the semi-rods – to ends of springs placed with the other ends of one semi-rod in the other end of the other rod and fixed with control nuts.
