The advertising article (1) is intended for suspending from the rim of a drinking glass (2) to identify the beverage served therein and/or draw the attention of other potential consumers who may be around and/or promote further sales by creating an interest in collecting similar articles. It pref. shows, or is made in the shape of, the trade mark or logo of the manufacturer of the commodity advertised. The article may have a projection which strikes the glass when this is moved to make a ringing sound. It may have one or more openings permitting a number of similar articles to be linked together as a chain.
