The switching appts. cabinet is for a transportable signal installation for rapid positioning at permanent signal installations undergoing rebuilding or to control traffic during road works or building constructions. The appts. is accommodated in an upper board-shaped section. The coupled supporting frame is also board-shaped and has a cable opening in a side wall. A cable conduit (7) leading upwards is installed in the supporting frames wall that has a cable opening. A similar conduit can also be provided in the corresp. wall of the upper section (1). In either case the conduit extends from the cable opening and extends over the upper section. The conduit is pref. rectangular in cross-section and closed on all sides. The cable is led to sockets (10) at the outlet (8) of the conduit.
