<p>Dispersing turbine has a multi-bladed rotor (5) which can be varied in its axial distance from one or two stationary or revolving dispersing elements (6), typically in the form of gratings. The medium to be dispersed flows axially through the turbine. A hollow rotor may be used. In the typical arrangement shown, the entering liquid passes through a guide ring (4), which can be adjusted in height while the machine is in operation, and passes through the bladed rotor (5) which in conjunction with the stationary grating (6) shears and breaks up solid components in the medium. Useful for the thorough dispersion of solids which tend to clump in a liquid medium particularly at high viscosities.</p> |
