The folding flap (3) incorporates a child's seat for a supermarket trolley. It is swingably mounted to allow the trolley to be stacked. The seat back (6) is operated by a folding bracket (8) which acts on a wire strut linkage (5,7) to erect the seat automatically as soon as the trolley is pulled out of the stack. The linkage has bent sections (9) for a snap fastening setting to hold the erected seat. The top of the folding bracket has a tag (11) which is struck by the handgrip of the next trolley, during stacking, to cause the seat flap to fold flat before it is lifted.
