PURPOSE:To prepare a toner preventing offset phenomenon on the surface of a fixing roller and superior in high-speed copying, by adding a polymer of a monomer containing a prepolymer having a specified reactive group and a colorant. CONSTITUTION:A reactive prepolymer excluding a polybutadiene type prepolymer (5-95pts.wt.) having an acid anhydride group represented by formula I, halogen, or the liks is added to 100wt.pts. polymerizable monomer of styrene or the like, condensable monomer couple of ethylene glycol and dibasic acid or the like, or ring-opening-polymerizable monomer of epoxy compound. A polymer of 100- 170 deg.C softening point and 40-110 deg.C glass transition point is obtained by polymerization of said monomer mixture. A high image quality copy sufficiently fixed is obtained using a toner containing this polymer and a colorant. Toner particles may be obtained by polymerizing said monomers in presence of the colorant. Said prepolymer has at least one group selected from -COOH, -SO3H, formula II, (R1, R2 are H, lower alkyl, or halogen), -NCO, -CR3=, -CR4 (R3, R4 are H, lower alkyl, aryl), formula I, and halogen. |
