<p>A method and apparatus for collecting fibrous material, such as glass, in which a stream (22) of fibrous material formed from a rotating spinner (10) flows through discharge nozzles (36) having downwardly converging inlet surfaces (46) and downwardly diverging outlet surfaces (44) with a discharge slot (38) intermediate the inlet and outlet surfaces (46 and 44) to discharge a flow of gases from the slot (38) substantially parallel to the flow of a veil of fibers to expand the fibers to the width of the collection surface (26). </p> |
