The ski boot which has no built-in extension is placed flat on the sole plate which is mounted on the ski at an angle corresp. to the angle of an extension. The sole of the boot does not protrude at the tip but is rounded down so that despite a relative short distance between the sole plate and the ski, the boot tip is set from the ski top at the distance required for swivelling the sole plate. The ski boot itself no longer has any wedged increase to form the extension piece so that the space arising between the sole plate and the top of the ski can be used to store the bindings. The boot can now be used for walking and skiing.
