A plant for the thermal deburring of workpieces by an explosive gas treatment has between the oxy-gas mixing block and the workpiece treatment block a section to act as a trap for the gas flashback after the explosion. The trap consists of several labyrinth-like bores with blind holes at each intersection. The trap prevents the deburred particles from entering the mixing block so that the life of the spark plug is lengthened at least tenfold.
