The injectors (2) are fitted with broad slit jets (3), in the flotation unit for the sepn. of any ink in a fibrous suspension. The slit jets (3) are dimensioned to give a cross- section to circumference ratio of 1.5-4.0 mm. The cross-section of the mixing chamber (4) is 1.3-1.7 times the cross section of the broad slit jet (3). Pref. the injector (2) is fitted with aerating drillings (5) with a total cross section amounting to 1.1-1.4 times the air suction cross section of the mixing chamber (4), and these drillings (5) are aligned at an angle of 30-60 deg. against the direction of flow. The jet slits, entry to the aeration drillings and at least a section of the mixing chamber can be located within an insert in the injector unit, in the form of a rotating cylinder or truncated cone. There are apertures to clean the jet slits (3) and drillings (5). The injector (2) housing has limit stops for positioning in the operating and cleaning modes, with a lock to hold it while operating. Designed to clean used paper matter, for recycling, there is a reduced number of jets without affecting their charging quality, and the incidence of jet stoppage is reduced.
