Ignition point timer for IC engine - has accelerator pedal dependent timing stage for amplifier allocated to gear change transmission

The ignition point timer is intended for electronic control of automatic motor vehicle transmission, consisting of a hydrodynamic torque converter with bridging clutch and a multi- speed mechanical gear box. On the drive side of the automatic transmission and on the turbine runner wheel of the torque converter are mounted speed generators. The frequency dependent control signals of each generator are converted in respective frequency analog converter and supplied to a signal amplifier. The amplifier outputs are fitted with relays for the control of the gear-change elements, or the bridging clutch. A timing stage is started in dependence on the accelerator pedal position and transmits a low signal level to amplifiers associated to the speed-change stages. A logic circuit controls the bridging clutch during operation of the timing stage, consisting of a combination of an OR-stage and an AND-stage.
