<p>The rotary piston machine has a chamber whose volume varies constantly and can be made in one of a very large number of alternative designs, for use in a fuel supply system for an engine. The cylindrical housing includes an end cover (1) forming the working chamber (2) with an axial shaft carrying e.g. two sliding vanes (9,10) shaped like paddles. An end extension carries two helical slots (16,17) of opposite handling, enclosed by a block (1) with control lugs (19,20) projecting inwards to engage the slots. These lugs are mounted on sleeves (29) each with a control lug (42) guided by a groove (41) around the interior of the block, with a control extension (51) projecting from the block. Further designs are multiple vanes of different shape moved by various guiding systems.</p> |
