<p>The combined pump and motor set has its casing immersed in the fluid being pumped and sealed to a connecting piece containing a sealed feedthrough for the motor cable. The outer end of the connecting piece has a connection box containing the connectors that connect the cable to the leads passing inside the motor's casing. The connection box is attached directly to the connection piece or may be formed in one piece with it. The advantage lies in being able to select a cable that accords with the safety standards of the country to which the pump is exported, without having to make significant internal modifications.</p> |
