A drum brake with internal brake shoes is provided with a friction clutch (14,16) for the compensation of brake shoe wear. The rotor plate (17) of the clutch assembly has a location slot (15) for a coupling pin (11) on the brake shoe (12). The location slot (15) has clearance (S) for the coupling pin (11) which is equal to the brake shoe clearance on the brake drum. When brake shoe wear occurs, the rotor plate (17) obtains equivalent angular movement in order to compensate the amount of wear.PS.
