<p>The transfer is intended for symbols, numbers, and emblems to be applied to textiles, such as cotton shirts, sports shirts, T-shirts, etc. The transfer is of laminated design and consists of following layers i.e. an absorbent paper felt (1), an adhesive (2), textile fibres (3) forming a mirror-image of the desired symbol pattern. The fibre pattern regions are fitted with a binder (4) and a thermoplastic spreading adhesive (5). The paper felt is simply sized and has a strength of 40 to 200 g per sq. m. It has mechanical properties and texture of blotting paper. The textile fibres are typically of viscose, polyamide, cotton, polyester or acryl. The binder may be enclosed in the textile fibre dye. The adhesive may be based on polyamide, polyethylene, PVC, polyester, or polyvinyl acetate.</p> |
