PURPOSE:A novel strain in Streptomyces is cultured to produce antibiotic, DJ7164A, B1 and B2 or their mixture. CONSTITUTION:A novel Actynomycetes that has been isolated from the soil collected in Hiroshima city, Streptomyces minutispiralis sp. nov. (FERM-5079), is inoculated in an enriched medium and aerobically cultured, preferably at about 6.0- 8.0pH and 20-40 deg.C and antibiotics, DJ7164A, DJ7164B1, DJ7164B2 or their mixture are collected from the culture mixture. |
