PURPOSE:To enable highly precise and consecutive cutting of the foamed substance sheet by a constitution wherein a cutting blade suspended from a frame provided in suspension on a chain is moved at the same speed with the sheet being carried and the sheet is cut by the cutting blade pressed down by a movable member. CONSTITUTION:A cutting member 4 which is formed of the frame 6, the cutting blade 7, a buffer member 8, a positioning piece 9, etc. is provided in suspension on the endless chain 31 through the intermediary of the frame 6 and moved in the direction of an arrow by the endless chain 31 at the same speed with the foamed substance sheet A carried consecutively on a conveyor C. Meanwhile, the movable member 5 comprising a driving sprocket 51, an idler sprocket 53, a crank bar 54, a pressing piece 55, etc. is arranged in a prescribed position, and the pressing piece is pressed down through the intermediary of the crank bar 54, pressing down, in turns, the cutting member 4 positioned just under the pressing piece 55. Thus, the foamed substance sheet A carried on the conveyor C is made to have a sharp and uniform cut surface, whereby it is cut without scattering of cut chips. |
