<p>The invention relates to the removal of impurities from zinc sulphate solution en route to electrolytic refinement of zinc, and in particular to adjusting the amount of zinc powder which is used in removing impurities. The removal of impurities such as, e.g., copper, cobalt, nickel and germanium, as well as cadmium, is carried out in such a way that they are cemented with zinc powder, a measurement of the redox potential being carried out to optimise the amount of zinc powder employed. <IMAGE></p> |
