Phenoxyalkylamides I(H≠ one of R at least; R3,R5 = H, C1-5 alkyl or tert-iso butyl; R2,,R6 = H, C1-5 alkyl, -SO2NH2 ; R4 = H, lower alkyl or C1-5 alkoxy, aryl or aryloxy, halo, OH or - ! SO2NH2; R7,R8 = H, C1-5 lower alkyl; n=2-5), useful as immuno -stimulant, were prepd. by HCl treatment of phenoxyalkyl carbamoyl cyanide(II) reacted with cysteamine ! in the presence of polar solvent at the boiling. I have immunostimulant activity e.g. a dose of I mg per mouse 10 days before infection with Samonella typhimurium gave 100 % protection. In human medicine the usual dose is 0.1-1g 3-5times per season.
