The coalescer usable for separating oil from water which contains oil is applicable not only to a ship for pumping out water stagnated in the bottom of a ship, but to waste water disposal plants. The coalescer(1) is filled with Mg containing polypropylene fiber(3) having oilphile property, polypropylene fiber(4), (5) having hydrophobe property, and granular silicon prepolymer(6) having oilphile and hydrophobe properties, between which iron nets(7), (8), (9) and (11) respectively are provided in the cylindrical case(2).
