PURPOSE:To obtain an image holding member superior in lubricity, humidity resistance, and abrasion resistance by forming a porous Al2O3 film on an Al plate by the anodic oxidation method, and filling each inside of its pores with an organic fluororesin combined with a silane coupling agent. CONSTITUTION:The porous hard Al2O3 film having pores large in diameter is formed by immersing the Al plate into the sulfuric acid electrolytic bath, passing pulsative electric current having periodical negative components into the bath, and heat treating the plate in vacuum after the anodic oxidation, further, using the organic silane coupling agent having a hydrolyzable group and an optimum functional group affinitive to the filler, combining the hydrolyzable group with the Al2O3 by hydrolysis to form siloxane bonds, forming a molecular film made of the durable silicon compound low in surface energy on the inside of each pore, heat treating it adequately in vacuum, and finally impregnating and filling each pore with the fluororesin having CnF2n+1 groups to arrange the affinitive groups on the surface of the resin. |
