Molten metal is continuously cast into a metal strip (4) in the moulding cavity (13) which has two movable belt (14,15) and two movable side walls (20). The metallic anodes (11) are made from the metal strip (4) before the metal strip got cool. Preferably, the metal is a crude copper. The metal strip is cut by one or more plasma torch. So, the metallic anodes having small loss is manufactured.
