PURPOSE:To enable accurate malfunction detection, by detecting the malfunction of the magnetic head by the malfunction detection circuit, depending whether one end of a shutter to cross the photosensor crosses this sensor actually or not. CONSTITUTION:Based on the present and objective address of the magnetic heads 1, 1, the photosensor 13 is provided at the location not at the both ends at least in the operating range of the operating position detector of the head. Depending whether or not one end 12a of the shutter 12 crosses the sensor 13, the malfunction of the heads 1, 1 is detected at the malfunction detecting circuit. Thus, the malfunction of the heads 1, 1 can be detected accurately. |
