PURPOSE:To perform good quality printing on a material to be recorded such as plain paper, by adhering ink to the surface of an ink receiving layer while or after forming said ink receiving layer to recording paper by a thermal transfer method. CONSTITUTION:A film composed of polyethylene having a thickness of about 3-15mum is used as a base material. As an auxiliary agent, one having capacity increasing an ink absorbing speed and fixing a dye is pref. used and, for example, an amine type cationic resin such as polyimine is designated when the colorant of jet ink is an anionic dye and chloride or carbonate of a heavy metal such as aluminum chloride can be also used effectively. The auxiliary agent is melted under heating to be fixed to a material to be recorded or mixed with a material capable of simultaneously transferring said agent to be applied to the base material 11 to form an auxiliary agent-containing thermal transfer recording medium layer 12. |
