<p>PURPOSE:To attain a high carriability of transfer materials and to transfer images of god quality by allowing the transfer material to pass between an electrified carrying belt and an earthed conductive member and arranging a belt charging charger in the separation position between the transfer material and the carrying belt. CONSTITUTION:The electric charge having the polarity opposite to that of the electric charge which is stored on the surface of a dielectric 112 at the time of electrifying a transfer material carrying belt 111 is transferred to a transfer material 117 from a dielectric member 118 which is provided in the vicinity of the dielectric 112 to face this dielectric 112, and the transfer material 117 and the carrying belt 111 are strongly electrostatically attracted to each other by attraction between this transferred electric charge and the electric charge on the surface of the dielectric 112. A carrying belt charging charger 116 provided in the separation position between the transfer material 117 and the carrying belt 111 removes the electric charge, which is given to the transfer material 117 and has the polarity opposite to that of the carrying belt, in the separation position. Thus, stable carrying and sure transfer are possible, and the belt 111 and the transfer material 117 are satisfactorily separated from each other without disturbing an image.</p> |
