A manifold system for an I.C. engine having an auxiliary combustion chamber associated with each main combustion chamber and connected thereto by a torch nozzle comprises an exhaust manifold(15) including a thin wall stainless steel liner(44) enveloped by an spaced within a thick wall metal casting forming an outer cover(42), an exhaust chamber(62) having an opening, and a riser member(84) forming a part of an intake manifold and associated with the opening(89) to transfer heat of the exhaust gases to the intake mixtures in a main intake chamber and an auxiliary intake chamber to insure vaporization of both mixtures.
