PHOTOCONDUCTIVE MATERIAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a photoconductive material with high photocurrent capacity by using electron donative polyamino acid with beta-structure obtd. by introducing electron donative groups into the side chain of polyamino acid capable of taking beta-structure. CONSTITUTION:A polymer of an alpha-amino acid deriv. with oxygen or sulfur substituted at the gamma-position takes beta-type structure. The deriv. may be L-cystine or DL-serine, and in order to introduce an electron donative group, the deriv. is reacted with ethylolcarbazole to obtain poly [S-(2-N-carbazolineethyl)-L-cystine] (PCEC) or poly[O-(2-N-carbazolineethyl-DL-serine]. PCEC is almost equal to poly- N-vinylcarbazole in spectral sensitivity but superior to it in the value of photocurrent as shown by the diagram.
