<p>PURPOSE:To considerably decrease the disintegration and abrasion of an adsorbent by providing a heater to a line for with drawing an adsorbent from an adsorption tower and transferring the same, without providing any particular independent adsorption tower. CONSTITUTION:The stack gas from a boiler 1 is conducted into an adsorption tower 2, where it is contacted with an adsorbent and is adsorbed away of the SO2 in the stack gas. The adsorbent having adsorbed SO2 in the tower 2 is conducted to a heater 6 provided to a conduit 14, where the adsorbent having adsorbed SO2 is heated to desorb SO2. The regenerated adsorbent is returned via a conduct 16 into the tower 2. The resultant concd. gaseous SO2 is sent into a sulfur converter 4, whole SO2 is reduced by a reducing agent to obtain simple substance sulfur vapor which is sent into a sulfur recovery device 5. Here, the vapor is cooled and condensed, whereby simple substance sulfur solids are recovered.</p> |
