<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate exchanging of an adsorbing material of lowered desulfurization efficiency by disposing plural pieces of the units packed with the adsorbing materials formed in such a manner as to have multiple gas passages in the flow directions of stack gases in a rotary type stack gas desulfurizer. CONSTITUTION:A unit 6 is formed by blocks 8 of adsorbing materials which are so formed as to have multiple stack gas passages. These are radially disposed in a rotating cylindrical cage 1. The stack gas enters the cage 1 from its inlet 10, passes through the adsorbing materials therein downward, further passes through the another layer upward and is released through a stack gas outlet 15. The adsorbing materials having adsorbed sulfur oxides enters a preheating zone (b) as the cage 1 rotates. After they are heated there, they enter the next desorbing zone (c) where they release the sulfur oxides, thence they are cooled in a cooling zone (d). Since the performance of the adsorbents decrease with repetitive number of times, the aged adsorbing materials are removed for every unit 6 and are exchanged with the units 6 containing new adsorbing materials in an exchanging zone (e).</p> |
