<p>PURPOSE:To provide a carrying method for articles of cylindrical shape by using a wire wherein cylindrical articles are carried by means of a carrying path formed by arranging a fixed guide line along a carrying wire axially moving, on one side thereof, and the direction and position of the articles can be automatically changed every moment while they are being carried. CONSTITUTION:A guide line 2 formed from stainless round bar or the like is arranged on one side of a carrying wire 1 moved at a constant speed in the direction of the arrow A to constitute a carrying path. In this case, the guide line 2 forms a parallel portion 2a, an estranging dimension gradually increasing section 2b, a parallel section 2c and an estranging dimension gradually decreasing section 2d in the order from the upstream side. Lapping over the terminating end of the gradullay decreasing section 2d, a parallel portion 2c' is formed by a guide line 2' on the opposite side of the wire 1. In addition, a projection 3 is secured to the parallel portion 2a in order to make it possible to change the axial direction of nuclear fuel pellets 4a-4e as cylindrical articles. Spraying washing water, for example, while the pellets are being carried on said carrying path by the carrying wire 1 permits the whole surfaces of the pellets to be washed.</p> |
