A ramp system which is based on a profile 1, which is supplied in modular lengths and can be assembled to give the desired length and height. The profile consists of a web 2 with a certain height and an upper 4 and a lower 3 flange. Each flange engages with two channels 5, 7 situated at either side of the web and arranged to accommodate a panel of masonite, plastic, or cardboard, for example, provided with advertising text and pictures, for example. The channel in the upper flange can be swung up by means of a hinge 1 so that the panel can be easily installed and replaced. The assembled profiles together form a free-standing ramp, which can be suspended between the walls in the exhibition area. The ramp can have a free-standing length of 10 meters or more, with no troublesome joints. The lower flange has a central, downward facing undercut channel 6 and the upper flange a central, upward facing undercut channel 1. Engagement elements, which are complementary to the undercut channel, secure outer accessories to the profile, such as headlamps. Conventional accessories for constructing a ramp are also part of the system and are connected to the ramp profile by the undercut channel and suitable engagement elements. <IMAGE> |
