PURPOSE:To make high-precision continuous measurement possible with a simple constitution, by measuring the speed of the weight, which falls for a prescribed distance in the liquid to be measured, through a microswitch, which is linked to the weight by a thread, to detect the viscosity of the liquid. CONSTITUTION:When limit switch 5 is caused to fall for a prescribed distance through air cylinder 7 in a speed lower than the speed of weight 3 which falls in liquid 1 to be measured, thread 4 connecting lever 6 of switch 5 and weight 3 sags. Next, weight 3 falls for a prescribed distance in liquid 1 in a speed corresponding to the viscosity of liquid 1 to close switch 5 through thread 4. Thus, the falling speed of weight 3 is measured to calculate and detect the viscosity of liquid 1. By this simple constitution, the viscosity is measured continuously with high precision. |
