PURPOSE:To facilitate production and to improve properties, by employing a negative electrode containing lithium as an active material and a positive electrode composed of a mixture of poly-2-vinylpyridine and iodine to which a definite amount of an organic compound is added. CONSTITUTION:The negative electrode 1 comprises lithium and the positive electrode 3 is prepared by adding an organic compound capable of forming solid charge migration complex at a room temperature by combination with iodine, into a mixture of iodine and poly-2-vinylpyridine, for example perilene. A battery capable of charging for a long time with a little current can be easily produced thereby. |
