PURPOSE:To prevent damage to retaining rings even if cooling water is leaked by consisting the retaining rings mounted on a winding end section as a double configuration composed of a metal having stress and corrosion cracking resistance at inside and a metal having high mechanical strength at outside. CONSTITUTION:In a rotor having a water-cooling hollow winding 3, retaining rings engaged in static pressure with a rotary shaft 2 at the external circumference part of a winding end section are formed in a double configuration. And an inside retaining ring 6 of the double configuration is formed by nonmagnetic steel having stress and corrosion cracking resistance and moderate strength and an outside retaining ring 7 is also formed by high-tension nonmagnetic steel having high mechanical strength. In this way, stress and corrosion cracking or cracks will not occur at the retaining rings even if the water-cooling winding 3 is damaged to leak cooling water. |
