Batch-type glass melt tank having an impregnator for supplying mold with melting glass through an extended passage between the impregnator and the bottom of the tank and a regulator for controlling a level of melting glass uniformly in an impregnator is described. Thus, melting glass for one-day production was sent to the tank(1) with walls(11) and a base (12) passed through passages(14),(17),(18) with a cylinder (20) for regulating melting glass in a fixed quantity, and poured into the impregnator(15) adjacent to the tank.
