<p>A material for plastics lenses, having a refractive index above 1.60 comprises a crosslinked polymer contg. gps. (I) or (II) in the chain, M being a metal atom, pref. Ti, Zr, Pb, Ta, La, Cu, Zn, Sn, Cr or Tl. The polymer pref. includes a halogen other than F, pref. Cl. The material is lightweight, easy to cast, has good surface hardness and is resistant to heat, solvent and scratching. It can be easily polished.</p> |
