PURPOSE:To facilitate frequency adjustment by roughly adjusting oscillation frequencies of two arms of a tuning fork type oscillators to respective series resonance frequencies when they are energized in independent oscillation modes. CONSTITUTION:Two arms 14 and 15 of a tuning fork type oscillator are energized in independent oscillation modes and they are connected electrically in parallel to be used. Frequencies of those arms are adjusted roughly to flatten composite characteristics at the normal temperature. For this purpose, the adjustments of arms of 14 and 5 are made at their series resonance frequencies. Firstly, desired adjustment frequencies are applied to electric terminals 13 and 13' common to arms 14 and 15 and the weights of those arms are adjusted to remove reactance. Thus, a couple of electric terminals are used in common to make rough frequency adjustment of two arms without the interruption of electric connection. |
