<p>The damper (2) pivots about an axis (6) on the centreline (8) of the air duct. The damper is elliptical in shape and sized so that it is closed when it is at 45 degrees to the axis of the duct. The damper has a sealing strip (10) around its perimeter which seals the duct when the damper is in either of two positions (14,16). The air is diverted into one of the branch ducts (12,15) whilst an air tight seal is made, preventing flow to the other duct.</p> |
