The invention relates to an electrical power contact nozzle for arc welding using molten filler wire, consisting of a nozzle part for guiding the welding wire and for electrical power transmission and a contact-pressure element. The aim is to achieve a longer life for the electrical power contact nozzle for use in welding heads, especially automatic welding torches and welding guns. An electrical power supply nozzle is to be developed which, as a result of its special design, combines the advantages of a multi-element electrical power contact nozzle (with respect to electrical power transfer and wear) with the requirements for small structural size, simple mechanical construction and high reliability under welding conditions. According to the invention, at least one contact-pressure element is articulated on the wire guidance element with the aid of in each case one thermal bimetallic element, and/or is effectively connected via an expansion element to the wire guidance element, in such a manner that, during a thermal load on the electrical power contact nozzle, the wire guidance element is pressed against the circumference of the filler wire.
